Miller, BS, OTR/L June 7, 2000 Mr. Paul Richard, President I'm sitting here writing this letter and I am beside myself just trying to find the words to say to you. I am overwhelmed with joy because I am now able to work for a productive length of time in my home office again. This workstation is more than I hoped it would be. I should tell you that I have been recovering from a neck and low back injury and subsequent pain for almost 3 years. I am technically "healed" from the injury but remain with chronic pain issues. Just two months ago, I began using the Ergogenic workstation. The following is a synopsis of a typical day for me before and after the purchase of the Ergogenic Computer Workstation. Before Ergogenic: Sitting or standing for more than 10 minutes at a time was unbearable for me. I would work at my office computer for 10 to 15 minutes. I would then go to my bedroom and lie down to rest to ease my back and neck pain. 20 minutes later, I could return to my computer for maybe another 15 minutes. I could only tolerate working a total of less than 1 hr/ day. Result: Work productivity and sense of accomplishment: very low. After Ergogenic: My tolerance for sitting has not yet increased; however, I can work in my office for up to 4 straight hours now! I simply raise the monitor and tilt it back with ease. I elevate the keypad and tilt the table forward. I now stand and begin to work comfortably. 20 minutes later, I lower the station and in several seconds I sit comfortably and continue. It doesn't matter what chair I use, or what shoes I wear. This station seems to mold around all my needs! 20 minutes later I use the same adjustment and I am standing again. The ability to tilt the monitor puts me into the same position I would be in if I were reading a novel. My neck doesn't hurt so much anymore from computer work! I don't need to stop and bed rest. I work for hours because I can move. Result: Work productivity and sense of accomplishment: 10 fold! Mr. Richard, I can't tell you how much this has changed my life. Thank you. I thought I should let you know something about me personally. I am a licensed Occupational Therapist. The most important principal of ergonomics that I have experienced is giving the human body the opportunity to MOVE. We were designed to move not sit still! Having your knees, hips, and ankles at 90 degrees is only a small portion of the battle. Unfortunately every "ergonomic store" or every person "licensed" in ergonomics that I have encountered, only seems to teach one principal; "The 90 Degree Angle Theory". I believe Ergogenic Technology is the solution to a global problem in this computer-driven, high technology workplace we are facing. This workstation will prevent multiple injuries to computer users. I am certain that employers will benefit from having more productive employees, while the employees will benefit from feeling more comfortable! Sincerely Michele Miller. OTR/L
